Synopsis

Fumi Manjoume, gentle and reserved, and Akira Okudaira, outspoken and nurturing, were inseparable in elementary school until Fumi’s family moved away. Years later, Fumi comes back after enrolling at Matsuoka Girls’ High School and reconnects with Akira, who is set to attend Fujigatani Girls’ Academy. Their reunion reveals that time has altered their connection. At school, an admired senior, Yasuko Sugimoto, singles Fumi out with unusually attentive compliments, prompting Fumi to confront the habit of turning to Akira for guidance and to explore her own identity rather than living in another’s shadow. Meanwhile, Akira strives to restore the closeness they once shared. The story follows their quiet struggles and evolving friendship as they navigate adolescence and the pressures of growing up.
