Synopsis
Away from urban noise, Torishirojima offers a slow, tranquil setting where Hairi Takahara arrives after his grandmother's recent passing. Seeking respite, the young boy moves in with his aunt Kyouko Misaki for the summer and helps his cousin Umi Katou as they sort through a shed of keepsakes collected over the years. Immersed in the island's calm rhythm, Hairi explores the surroundings and encounters a circle of locals: the upbeat Tsumugi Wenders; the withdrawn Shiroha Naruse; the roving Kamome Kushima; and the sharp-tongued Ao Sorakado. As he becomes involved in their daily lives and the island’s understated secrets, Hairi experiences a summer shaped by gentle joys, nostalgia, and moments that leave a lasting impression.
