Synopsis

After spending a year in America, Kurisu Makise comes back to Akihabara and meets Rintarou Okabe again. Their reunion is interrupted when Okabe begins suffering repeated visions of alternate timelines as the repercussions of his time travel emerge. Those effects escalate until Okabe abruptly disappears from existence, leaving Kurisu as the sole person who remembers him. Confronted with profound loss, Kurisu must make a difficult decision that pits her responsibilities as a scientist against her loyalty as a friend: heed Okabe’s warning and refrain from time travel to prevent harmful shifts in world lines, or defy that counsel in order to retrieve the person she values most. Whichever course she selects will have consequences that reach into the past, shape the present, and influence the future.
