Synopsis
In the peaceful town of Seize near Helvetia's border, daily life continues despite growing military strain with the neighboring Roman Empire. The 1121st platoon, based at the Clocktower Fortress, gains a new member: Kanata Sorami, a young recruit driven by a wish to learn the bugle. Under the instruction of Sergeant Major Rio Kazumiya, an accomplished trumpeter, Kanata becomes part of a small team that includes the distant mechanic Noël Kannagi, the spirited gunner Kureha Suminoya, and the caring Captain Felicia Heideman. Together they carry out duties at the fortress while sharing moments of ordinary beauty and the enduring warmth of a close-knit community amid an uncertain world.
