Synopsis

With the ensemble contest concluded, the Kitauji High concert band shifts focus to claiming a gold at the national competition. For third-year president Kumiko Oumae and her peers, this campaign represents their final opportunity before graduation. Kumiko faces mounting expectations and self-doubt as she tries to guide the group. During this tense period she meets transfer student Mayu Kuroe, a former euphonium player from the Seira Girls' School band, experienced in national contests. Mayu’s calm manner and musical skill affect Kumiko in a way she cannot fully explain. As the club gains new recruits and implements preparations, the members confront the discipline, sacrifices, and collective effort required to challenge the nation’s top bands and pursue their long-sought gold.
