Synopsis

Set in near-future Japan, the story follows Aya Okamura, who resides alone in an apartment while her mother has worked overseas for years. Aya’s family home is mainly occupied by her aging father, Kouji, and their pet cat, Mii-san. After a long, exhausting day, Aya tells her father she’s still at work to avoid joining him for dinner. Later that night, a phone call arrives with news that may prompt the estranged family members to draw closer, testing their bonds and prompting quiet reflection.
