Synopsis

Shirayuki, whose name evokes snow despite her vivid red hair, is a diligent apothecary in the rural nation of Tanbarun. When the frivolous Prince Raji takes an unwanted interest in her and attempts to assert control, she chooses to preserve her autonomy by cutting her hair and fleeing into the wilderness. There she is saved from the prince's pursuit by Zen Wistalia, the second prince of the adjacent realm of Clarines, and his two attendants. Grateful and determined to repay their aid, Shirayuki aims to train and serve as a court herbalist in Clarines. The story follows her adjustment to life at the Clarines palace and Zen's efforts to grow into the responsibilities of his station. As they form loyal bonds and encounter dangerous antagonists, both Shirayuki and Zen gradually come to rely on one another while pursuing their respective paths.
