Synopsis

Takahiko Urino, a first-year student aiming to create a distinctive piece for the school paper Furnado Monthly, sets out to investigate a pattern of fires that have escalated into serial arson. Prompted by his girlfriend Yuki Osanai—a seemingly ordinary second-year—Urino persuades the newspaper club to allow him to forecast future fire sites and uncover the perpetrator. His single-minded pursuit begins to cast the club in an unfavorable light, and Osanai grows concerned about his increasing pride. At the same time, Jougorou Kobato, another student regarded as unremarkable, leads a quiet life with his partner Tokiko Nakamaru. After witnessing a blaze connected to an earlier incident and to Osanai, Kobato finds himself reverting to former, more active patterns as he seeks answers and follows the trail of truth.
