Synopsis

In the realm of Kuruda, combatants who blend mystical abilities with martial mastery contend for the highest honor: becoming the Sevaar, the land's preeminent fighter. Elle Ragu, known by the moniker Shadow Skill, has just claimed that coveted position, yet her new status brings fresh burdens rather than respite. She is responsible for mentoring Gau, a younger charge learning the arts of war, while constantly repelling assassins sent by rival domains and responding to hostile incursions. Amid these duties, Elle is also pressed by a more mundane but persistent problem: managing and resolving the debts accrued from her drinking. The story follows her navigation of leadership, protection, and personal obligations in a dangerous, politically fraught setting.
