Synopsis

Suzune Miyama has spent most of her early life confined to bed because of a fragile heart, yet she has long harbored the ambition to become an idol. Her chance arrives with the seventh Selection Project, a harsh competition series famed as the launchpad for the celebrated Akari Amasawa. Nervous but hopeful, Suzune takes part in the preliminary round. Her voice impresses both judges and peers, but anxiety causes her to falter mid-performance; although she recovers, the mistake costs her the winning place and appears to end her run. The outcome changes when Seira Kurusu—the contestant who edged Suzune out—declares she will withdraw, convinced Suzune’s talent merits a place in the contest. Surprised by Seira’s choice, Suzune accepts the opportunity and vows they will both strive to become leading idols, bracing herself for the difficult trials ahead.
