Synopsis

Wu Liuqi, an amnesiac who works as a bounty hunter, projects a threatening presence thanks to lethal telekinetic scissor abilities and an uncanny skill for transforming into objects or people. Contrary to that image, he carries a modest, unassuming demeanor and frequently bungles assignments—missed strikes, wrong targets, and botched assassinations are common. More than mere incompetence, these mishaps reflect his fundamentally ordinary nature and a conscience that clashes with the brutality of his occupation. Traveling with his bird companion Dai Bo, Wu balances a daytime role as a humble hairdresser with nocturnal freelance hits; both livelihoods serve primarily to settle debts. As he moves between these roles and encounters various situations, each episode of his work appears linked in subtle ways to his central aim: recovering the memories he has lost. The tone blends quiet vulnerability and restrained danger as Wu navigates a path between survival, obligation, and the search for his identity.
