Synopsis

In a near-future Japan where children are scarce and treated as national treasures, the traditional figure of Christmas has faded into myth. At Daikoku Welfare Academy, a boarding institution that provides education, protection, and surveillance for its pupils, Santa Claus is remembered only as a fictional relic. Outside the school, however, authorities view Santa as a potential threat and maintain a unit tasked with eliminating him should he ever appear. Student Shiori Fuyumura refuses to accept the official report that her closest friend, Ichie Ono, died after vanishing six months earlier. Convinced that the solution lies in awakening a latent persona, Shiori confronts her class representative, Kazushige Sanda, accusing him of being the heir to the notorious Santa figure. She resolves to provoke and expose his supposed true nature by any means necessary in her quest to locate Ono.
