Synopsis

Ruri Tanigawa, a high school student, becomes fascinated by a crystal necklace but cannot afford it. Her mother mentions a mountain region where Ruri’s grandfather once found many minerals, so Ruri travels there hoping to gather materials to craft her own jewelry. In the field she encounters Nagi Arato, a graduate student who willingly guides her to the location. They come upon a vast quartz formation that deeply moves Ruri. Encouraged, she asks Nagi to teach her about minerals. Through their fieldwork and Nagi’s instruction, Ruri’s interest grows into a more profound appreciation for mineralogy beyond monetary value.
