Synopsis

Sixteen years after a meteor reduced Graviton City to ruins, the city has risen again as a gleaming, advanced urban center. Eiko Magami, a high school student with extraordinary strength and speed, is largely indifferent to the city’s transformation; her priorities are her close friendship with Shiiko Kotobuki and simply getting to school on time. Those priorities are threatened when Biko Daitokuji, a brilliant and determined classmate, decides she wants Shiiko’s companionship for herself. Concluding that she must displace Eiko to win Shiiko’s friendship, Biko engineers a combat solution: a custom-built mecha designed to counter Eiko’s physical advantages. Biko issues a challenge at the school gate, and as their confrontation unfolds, an enormous spaceship appears overhead, scanning the planet for something left behind. The story centers on the tense rivalry, the measures one will take to secure a bond, and the sudden arrival of an enigmatic presence from above.
