Synopsis

Tsukimi Kurashita, who cherishes a childhood memory of an aquarium visit with her late mother, has long been captivated by jellyfish and imagines their graceful tentacles as a princess’s flowing gown. At nineteen, socially withdrawn and aspiring to be an illustrator, she shares a residence with five other unemployed otaku women and spends much of her time on solitary creative daydreams. One day, while trying to rescue a jellyfish at a pet shop, Tsukimi receives assistance from an elegant, fashion-forward stranger. That encounter marks the beginning of frequent visits by this confident, stylish person to the girls’ home. Though initially perceived as superficial and very different from Tsukimi and her roommates, the visitor conceals a personal secret: beneath the feminine appearance is Kuranosuke Koibuchi, a wealthy male college student. The arrival of this unconventional figure brings change to Tsukimi’s daily life and relationships while maintaining an intimate, reflective tone focused on identity, connection, and creative longing.
