Synopsis

After her father remarries, 16-year-old Himeno Awayuki moves into a sprawling home with a picturesque garden, only to find her stepfamily distant and unreceptive: a distracted stepmother, a dismissive younger stepsister, and a same-aged stepsister who frequently targets her with pranks. Amid emotional strain, Himeno is approached by seven mystical young men known as the Leafe Knights and asked to take on the role of a magical princess capable of channeling their abilities. Accepting the role of Prétear, she faces internal uncertainty about her capacity to safeguard the world's Leafe, the vital energy sustaining life. Balancing the search for belonging within her new family and the responsibility of confronting a looming threat called the Princess of Disaster, Himeno must grow into her duties while protecting the planet.
