Synopsis

While investigating ancient ruins in Kalos, Professor Sycamore and Alexa uncover a stone effigy of a woman called Aila and learn of a local legend. Records from the region recount that Aila’s beloved, Jan, confronted the Destruction Pokémon Yveltal in an effort to stop it. Yveltal’s rampage drained life from the land and it entered a cocoon, leaving Aila turned to stone. Jan then sought out the Life Pokémon Xerneas to restore the barren territory, but Aila could not be revived. As balance faltered across Kalos, the Order Pokémon Zygarde emerged to reestablish harmony, while Jan remained beside Aila as the cycle of decay and renewal endured.
