Synopsis

After sustaining injuries in battle, Mike, a penguin who served as a soldier, comes back to his hometown. His relationships with family and friends have become strained, leaving him alienated from the people he once knew. Unable to find belonging there, he departs his hometown and begins traveling aimlessly across the nation, moving through landscapes and communities as he contends with the aftermath of combat and the distance it has created between him and others.
