Aquamarine "Aqua" Hoshino and Kana Arima secure the parts of Touki and Tsurugi in Lala Lai Theatrical Company's adaptation of the manga Tokyo Blade, guided by producer Masaya Kaburagi. Aqua's partner, Akane Kurokawa, appears in the production as Princess Saya, Touki's fiancée, but the character's reduced presence in the source material—driven by fans favoring Tsurugi as the romantic counterpart—makes it hard for Akane to inhabit the role. Tensions rise as the stage script diverges from the original manga, a change that also troubles Tokyo Blade's creator, Abiko Samejima.
