Synopsis

After Musashi frees Michiru Saruwatari from a demon, Kojirō Kanemaki learns his father had ties to the Uesugi clan and seeks answers. To trace his roots, Kojirō and members of the Kanemaki family enlist in Uesugi’s punitive expedition to Awaji Island, where the eight-headed dragon Yamata no Orochi menaces the region. Musashi, now part of the allied force, confronts the brutal reality of battling powerful demons and is forced to overcome his shortcomings in teamwork and combat. At the same time, the Obsidian Eight, a faction intent on reclaiming the Obsidian Goddess said to inhabit Musashi, renews its pursuit and plots to disrupt the island campaign. As alliances strain and conflict escalates, Musashi and his companions must unmask and counter the rival groups scheming to possess the Obsidian Goddess while contending with the broader threat posed by Yamata no Orochi.
