After Boros’s defeat, Saitama resumes his quiet routine in Z-City, yet monster incidents keep increasing and strain the Hero Association. To cope, senior officials opt to enlist street fighters, but their recruitment meeting is interrupted by a mysterious man calling himself Garou, who claims to be a monster and launches a brutal attack on those present. Garou proceeds to confront and overpower heroes across the city; he is revealed as the former top disciple of the famed martial artist Silverfang and acts with unclear motives, presenting an almost unstoppable threat. Drawn by curiosity about this enigmatic adversary and motivated by money, Saitama enters a notable martial arts tournament.
