Synopsis

Goro Kumagaya, a tall and experienced middle-school goalkeeper, fails to gain entry to Yokonan High—an institution known for its strong football program—due to an unforeseen accident and instead enrolls at the lower-ranked school across town. There he encounters skilled players Shingo, Hideki, and Kazuhito Oda, and together they join Kawasaki High School's football club. United by a shared determination to improve, the team takes on Yokonan and other opponents, treating each setback as a chance to develop. Over time their efforts reveal Goro’s unexpected aptitude as a forward, altering his role while the squad continues to pursue growth and championship aspirations.
