Synopsis

Rikuo Nura is a boy born of both human and youkai lineage who served as the youthful head of the Nura Clan. He regards the clan’s varied youkai members as family, a view that sets him apart from peers who regard such beings as fearsome folklore monsters. Hoping to live as an ordinary human, Rikuo nonetheless faces challenges to that aim: his youkai attendant Tsurara Oikawa attends school with him under a human guise; the onmyouji Yura Keikain monitors youkai activity; and his friend Kiyotsugu admires youkai and seeks to confirm their existence. Rival supernatural forces arise that threaten people close to Rikuo, compelling him to confront his lineage. He must accept that he is the grandson of the famed Nurarihyon and, by transforming into a youkai at night, grow into a leader capable of safeguarding the Nura Clan and those he loves.
