Synopsis

Following a devastating conflict, the Ninku—an almost eradicated clan of ninjas—were branded as the aggressors while the Imperial Army rose to power and presented itself as the nation’s protector. Fusuke, who appears childlike but once led the first Ninku division, sets out to locate his mother who was taken during the war. On the road he encounters former captains Aicho and Touji; together they confront the Imperial Army, which seeks to finish off the remaining Ninku. The Ninku possess rare, arcane techniques that attract others aiming to seize that power and reshape the country, making Fusuke and his fellow surviving specialists constant targets. The story follows their struggle to survive, protect their skills, and challenge the forces responsible for their clan’s collapse.
