Synopsis

Nichijou follows the everyday experiences of three childhood friends—Mio Naganohara, Yuuko Aioi, and Mai Minakami—and how their lives intersect with the young prodigy Hakase Shinonome, her robotic companion Nano, and their articulate cat Sakamoto. The series depicts routine moments—commuting to school, interacting with classmates, and casual hangouts—alongside bizarre, unpredictable incidents that turn the mundane into chaos. Through brief, humorous vignettes, the characters and those around them alternate between quiet, ordinary interactions and sudden, exaggerated absurdities, presenting a portrayal of daily life that is both calm and wildly unpredictable.
