Aerial ninja forces from the Land of Sky launch a sudden, destructive assault on Konohagakure to settle an old vendetta. Naruto Uzumaki wants to join the defense but is delayed when Shinnou, an enigmatic medical specialist, enlists his help to transport an injured man to the hospital. During the journey Naruto encounters Amaru, a volatile youngster from a nearby village who urgently needs Shinnou’s medical aid. As the attackers pull back to regroup, Tsunade sends a small strike team—Sai, Shikamaru Nara, and Kakashi Hatake—to locate and neutralize the enemy base, while assigning Naruto, Sakura Haruno, and Hinata Hyuuga to escort Shinnou and Amaru on their mission. Meanwhile Orochimaru pursues his own objective, directing Sasuke Uchiha to capture the doctor skilled in a forbidden reincarnation method. The escorting party inadvertently reveals a darker reality behind the assaults, setting off a chain of volatile events. Confronted with an unexpected reunion and escalating schemes, Naruto remains determined to stop the conflict and its harmful consequences.
