Synopsis

Hiiragi Yatsuse is a compassionate high schooler who has difficulty connecting with classmates. One evening he encounters Tsumugi, an unusual girl looking for her missing mother, who soon invites herself into his home. When a supernatural entity appears in Hiiragi’s room, Tsumugi intervenes and reveals that she is an oni. Recognizing an amulet Tsumugi cherishes, Hiiragi agrees to accompany her to the shrine where it came from. Together they set out to locate Tsumugi’s mother, meeting various people and confronting challenges as they travel, while their relationship develops amid encounters with otherworldly threats.
