Synopsis

Adapted from Jean Webster’s novel, the story follows Judy Abbott, an orphan living in New York, who is offered financial support by an unknown patron during a meeting involving the superintendent and prominent attendees. Having seen only the outline of his tall figure as he departed, Judy nicknames him 'Daddy Long Legs' and agrees to send him monthly letters as part of their arrangement. Enrolled at Lincoln Memorial School, she forms friendships and encounters experiences that reveal aspects of life beyond her previous understanding, navigating personal growth and new social realities while maintaining correspondence with her benefactor.
