Synopsis

Gigantic, insect-like creatures terrorize Edo, overwhelming ordinary people. A specialized band of fighters known as the Insect Magistrates combats these threats using hidden techniques and diverse martial skills. They attempt to call on Genjuurou Tsukishima, a renowned swordsman from Tsugaru, to reinforce their ranks, but an accident prevents him from answering. Genjuurou dispatches his son, Jinbee, to take his place. Motivated by guilt over his own past cowardice, Jinbee travels to Edo to join the Magistrates. With intense determination and a resolve to improve as a samurai, he seeks to atone and help eliminate the monstrous insects menacing the city.
