Synopsis

In their final year of high school, Jirou Yakuin hopes to be matched with his childhood friend and classmate, Shiori Sakurazaka, for a school program that assigns boy-girl pairs to live as simulated married couples while staff monitor their progress. Akari Watanabe, energetic and earnest, wants to be paired with her own object of affection, the popular Minami Tenjin. Unexpectedly, the pairings place Jirou with Akari and Shiori with Minami, putting both Jirou and Akari at odds with the arrangement. Motivated to secure the chance to switch partners later, Jirou and Akari compete to accumulate points: the top ten couples in the program earn permission to exchange partners, provided both involved couples consent. The story follows their efforts to grow closer to their chosen partners within the constraints of the school’s monitored experiment, carrying a mix of earnest yearning, awkward intimacy, and the pressure of competition.
