Synopsis

Spring arrives in Moomin Valley, ending winter slumber and welcoming Snufkin back from his migration. The valley’s residents awaken and resume their routines. The Moomins come across an elegant silk hat and decide to keep it safe while they search for its owner. During play, Moomintroll hides inside the hat and emerges altered into a frightening form, alarming his friends and family. Seeing his reflection, he is shocked by his unfamiliar appearance. After reverting to his usual self and calming those around him, Moomintroll and Snufkin choose to set the hat adrift in the river. As it floats away, they reflect on who might have lost it and whether its rightful owner will return to reclaim it.
