Synopsis

A solitary programmer leaves home for work and returns to find a dragon’s head looming on her balcony. The creature shifts into a cheerful, busty young woman clad in a maid uniform and identifies herself as Tooru. The night before, the programmer had, while intoxicated, encountered the dragon in the mountains and offered shelter; Tooru arrives to accept that offer and intends to repay the kindness by serving as a personal maid. Although the programmer immediately regrets the promise and hesitates, guilt and Tooru’s extraordinary dragon capabilities lead her to let the newcomer stay. Tooru proves extremely capable yet unconventional in domestic tasks, often alarming her employer and sometimes causing more problems than she solves. Beneath the maid’s energetic exterior lie complex emotions and painful memories, suggesting deeper reasons for her arrival on Earth. Tooru’s presence also draws other mythic beings to the household, introducing a stream of eccentric figures into the programmer’s life. The story follows the programmer’s efforts to cope with the unforeseen complications and adjustments brought by living with a dragon maid.
