Synopsis

Es wakes inside the Milgram facility and encounters Jackalope, a mysterious talking animal who explains Es’ new function: serving as the prison’s adjudicator. Assigned to evaluate ten prisoners, each detained for causing death in various circumstances, Es is tasked with exploring their minds and determining their culpability. The series centers on Es’ deliberations, weighing intent versus outcome and confronting the fraught boundary between righteousness and cruelty. With only two verdicts available—innocent or guilty—Es must make final decisions that seal each inmate’s fate, navigating moral ambiguity and the emotional burden of judgment.
