Synopsis

In a town where water steadily rises, an elderly resident continually raises his home's levels to stay above the flood. When his treasured smoking pipe slips into the inundated space beneath him, he plunges down through the layers of his own dwelling and into recollections accumulated over many years. The short film examines how the passage of time can erase or bury the past and portrays the necessity of moving forward despite what has been lost, maintaining a reflective and melancholic tone throughout.
