Synopsis

After defeating Shinou at the close of the second season, Yuuri’s strength grows to the point that he can access Shin Makoku by his own means, despite previous restrictions that had barred him and Murata. Following a coming-of-age ceremony at sixteen, Yuuri finds that significant developments occurred in his absence: the ten chief nobles have selected Wolfram as the prospective Maou. Yuuri’s unexpected return and reinstatement as Maou trigger resistance from at least one influential noble who challenges his reclamation of the throne. Meanwhile, an old clandestine organization reemerges, posing a threat to the fragile peace between humans and Mazoku, and prompting disputes among the aristocracy over the rightful sovereign.
