Synopsis

Sawako Kuronuma, often likened to a horror film character because of her appearance, is mistakenly feared by classmates despite being gentle and shy. Yearning for companionship and an ordinary life, she is attracted to Shouta Kazehaya, a warm and well-liked boy whose ease with others she admires. When Kazehaya organizes a classroom test of courage and invites her, Sawako views it as a chance to connect with peers such as Ayane Yano and Chizuru Yoshida. As she encounters new people and feelings, Sawako feels her life improving through her relationship with Kazehaya, while he too finds his outlook subtly affected by her presence.
