Synopsis

A thirteen-year-old apprentice witch departs from her family to fulfill a tradition requiring a year of solitary living in a faraway town. With only her broom and her black cat, she arrives at a seaside community and faces initial uncertainty and displacement. After wandering without accommodation, she meets a baker who offers her lodging in return for helping with deliveries.
