Synopsis

In a world where select individuals called Kings wield extraordinary abilities and can recruit followers into protective clans, safeguarding a clan’s members and honor is a core responsibility. After footage of a brutal killing of a member of the Red clan circulates widely, quiet student Yashiro Isana becomes the prime suspect in the homicide. A widespread pursuit targets him, bringing him face-to-face with Kurou Yatogami, a formidable swordsman and martial artist known as the Black Dog, who seeks to fulfill the intentions of his deceased master, the Seventh King. At the same time, Mikoto Suou, the current Red King, confronts a threat to his life as the investigation closes in on Yashiro. As Yashiro struggles to clear his name, deeper layers of intrigue emerge: his memories grow hazy and allies begin to doubt whether he truly exists. What starts as an accusation of murder escalates into a looming conflict among Kings, with consequences that could determine the world’s future.
