Sixteen-year-old Yuuta Okkotsu is a withdrawn high school student who becomes the focal point of violent incidents due to an enormous curse linked to a traumatic event from his youth. That curse, embodied in Rika Orimoto, manifests as a deadly force that retaliates brutally against those who harm Yuuta. Recognizing both the danger and the latent potential in Yuuta, Satoru Gojou, an influential sorcerer and instructor at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High, intervenes to guide him. Under Gojou’s supervision, Yuuta joins the first-year cohort—alongside the taciturn Toge Inumaki, the weapons specialist Maki Zenin, and Panda—to learn to control and apply Rika’s power on missions. Yuuta’s uneasy efforts to manage the curse draw the attention of Suguru Getou, a calculating practitioner who seeks to appropriate Rika’s strength to carry out a campaign aimed at eradicating non-jujutsu users. As Getou advances his genocidal scheme, Yuuta and his classmates must confront the threat while navigating the moral and emotional burdens of a dangerous, vengeful power.
