Synopsis

A decade after a decisive conflict between light and darkness, Zhang Xiaofan—now called Gui Li—grapples with unrest inside the demonic faction. A scarce relic surfaces in the Death Swamp, drawing competing parties into contention. Reconnecting with Lu Xueqi, Gui Li finds their complex blend of affection and resentment intensified. Tasked with probing the vanishing of his followers at Fenxiang Valley, he unexpectedly frees a nine-tailed celestial fox named Xiao Bai and uncovers leads tied to an age-old witch lineage. Surviving numerous life-threatening trials, Gui Li ultimately convinces a formidable spirit-summoning sorcerer to travel and attempt to heal Bi Yao. The story follows whether his ten-year-long desire will be realized.
