Synopsis

When Ichika Orimura is away visiting Kuramochi Engineering, an unknown attacker infiltrates IS Academy's central systems and incapacitates its infrastructure. To repel the intrusion and restore functionality, his sister Chifuyu recruits Ichika's five close companions—Houki Shinonono, Cecilia Alcott, Huang Lingyin, Laura Bodewig, and Charlotte Dunois—to enter the academy's network via virtual reality and confront the threat. Once inside the digital environment, the team is unknowingly affected by a malicious program called "World Purge," which ensnares each girl in constructed scenarios that present a perfect romantic vision of her relationship with Ichika. With the students trapped in those illusory worlds, Ichika must return to the academy and work to extract the five girls and bring them back from the simulated experiences.
