Synopsis

In a setting where everyday life is suffused with kaleidoscopic magic, Hitomi Tsukishiro experiences existence without emotion or color. One night, while fireworks bloom across the sky, her grandmother Kohaku performs a long-prepared ritual that uses six decades of collected moonlight to send Hitomi back to 2018, the time when Kohaku was a high school student. Kohaku gives Hitomi little explanation beyond the promise that clarity will come once she arrives. Transported by a time-traveling train piloted by an unusual yellow being, Hitomi emerges in the room of Yuito Aoi, a reserved artist. Yuito’s sketches begin to flood Hitomi’s previously muted perception with vivid hues, raising questions about the reason for her journey and the connection between his art and the restoration of color in her life. The story follows Hitomi as she navigates this past era, seeking the purpose Kohaku hinted at while confronting how Yuito’s creations alter her inner world.
