Synopsis

Houtarou Oreki, a freshman who wants only to live with minimal effort, is pulled out of his low-key routine when his sister compels him to prevent the memberless Classics Club from closing. At the clubroom he learns Eru Chitanda, a fellow first-year with an eager and inquisitive nature, has already joined. Although Oreki’s obligation is technically resolved, Chitanda’s persistent curiosity draws him into continued participation. The club soon includes Oreki’s classmates Satoshi Fukube and Mayaka Ibara, forming a group of four. Together, guided by Chitanda’s questions, they investigate small, everyday mysteries that arise in their ordinary school life, uncovering subtle truths while maintaining a calm, reflective atmosphere.
