Synopsis

A sudden emergence of the undead throws Japan into violent disorder. When a classmate is bitten and begins to turn, Takashi Kimuro faces the painful choice to end his friend’s life and vows to safeguard the victim’s girlfriend, Rei Miyamoto. Escaping their besieged school, they find a country already fallen into chaos. Together with other students—Saeko Busujima, the poised kendo club leader; Kouta Hirano, a firearms-obsessed otaku; Saya Takagi, the politically connected daughter; and Shizuka Marikawa, the attractive school nurse—they set out to locate family members and investigate the origins of the pandemic. The group must rely on one another’s skills and resolve as they navigate a world overrun by the walking dead, confronting both external threats and the moral costs of survival.
