Synopsis

In the year 3990, Pentagona — a solar system of five embattled worlds — is dominated by the immortal ruler Oldna Poseidal. Daba Myroad, one of the last members of the Yaman Clan, survives the clan’s near annihilation and lives in exile on the distant planet Koam with his friend Mirao Kyao. Daba possesses L-Gaim, a humanoid Heavy Metal that stands as the final surviving artifact of his people. While escaping an attempted theft of the mecha, Daba and Mirao encounter Fanneria Amu, an aspiring actress, and Lilith Fau, the sole remaining fairy in Pentagona, and the four form an uneasy companionship. After Daba vows to honor the final request of one of their pursuers, their path leads them to the influential merchant Amandara Kamandara. Bound by that promise, the disparate group confronts formidable foes and gradually becomes involved in a wider uprising against Poseidal’s oppressive regime.
