Synopsis

Fifteen years after a catastrophe dismantled human society, lethal, man-eating creatures roam the devastated landscape, threatening the survival of the few remaining people. Within this bleak setting, an isolated shelter cares for children, offering them a quiet, protected upbringing. Over time, some of those children begin to learn about the wider, ruined world outside their nursery and develop a cautious curiosity about it. Beyond the facility, two young survivors, Maru and Kiruko, travel together in search of a place known as Heaven. Each carries personal burdens and painful secrets tied to past hardships; they pursue the destination in hopes of confronting the cruelty they have endured and finding meaning amid the wreckage of their lives and the broken world around them.
