Synopsis

Tsukasa, a young wavemaster identified only by his alias, regains consciousness inside the MMORPG known as The World with fragmented memory of his past actions. Branded as a potential hacker by the Crimson Knights after being seen alongside an altered catlike character, he cannot exit the game and wanders in search of explanations while steering clear of the knights and other players he encounters. During his journey he acquires a magical object manifesting as a guardian that vows to shield him from harm. Subaru, leader of the Crimson Knights, together with several players who have formed connections with Tsukasa, investigate the cause of his inability to log out and work to resolve the situation before it escalates.
