Synopsis

Van, a tall and emotionally distant swordsman, is driven by a single purpose: to find and kill the person who murdered his fiancée, known only by the distinctive claw replacing one arm. Passing through Evergreen, a city under threat from raiders aiming to seize its treasury, Van meets Wendy Garret, a shy young woman searching for her abducted brother. The city requests Van's aid, but he refuses and departs, insisting it is none of his concern. He soon confronts the same bandits and, provoked, acts on his own terms. He discovers the raiders have connections to the claw-armed killer and had taken Wendy's brother for undisclosed reasons. After dealing with the bandits, Van and a reluctant Wendy travel together in pursuit of the Claw Man, unaware that the man they seek is tied to a far darker scheme than they can imagine.
