Synopsis

Guin wakes in a shadowed forest of a legendary realm, wearing an unremovable leopard mask and retaining only his name and the knowledge that he is an exceptionally powerful warrior. When the twin children of Parros—caught in the crossfire of civil conflict—come under threat, Guin commits to their protection. Their rescue sets in motion far-reaching consequences: beyond fighting well-trained Mongoul troops, Guin must confront mystical desert peoples, broker uneasy alliances among factions long at odds, and unravel a concealed scheme in which he appears to play a pivotal role.
