Synopsis

Private Hyakunosuke Ogata of the 7th Division and former Shinsengumi vice commander Toshizou Hijikata end up opposing each other amid a violent gang conflict in Barato. Both pursue leads that link the Hidoro gang to the skin of a fugitive bearing distinctive tattoos and to a nearby stash of concealed Ainu gold. They commit to the confrontation to secure the prize, but when treachery emerges, every faction must reconsider hasty moves and the costs of escalating the fight.
